- Creating a safe laboratory environment, lab safety inspections, and safety education
- Health check-ups and insurance enrollment for research personnel
- Biological safety management and handling experimental waste

Safety and Health Planning Team
- On-site surveys and safety campaigns for personal mobility devices (kickboards) each semester
- Joint fire evacuation drills and fire safety education with Jeonbuk National University Hospital (annually)
- Acquired ISO 45001 certification for university safety and health management system
- Mid- and end-of-year inspections to prevent infectious disease outbreaks
- Quarterly safety and health education sessions to strengthen workers’ safety awareness
- Annual risk assessments to identify and eliminate risk factors for student safety
- Industrial accident prevention through labor-management collaboration
- Distribution of hazardous material labels seasonally to prevent accidents
- Job workshops for safety managers (May 2025)
- Delivered 12 customized safety education programs including CPR and defibrillator training
- 1,214 students completed emergency treatment practice courses in the first half of 2025 (209.3% of target)

Laboratory Safety Management Team
- Implemented foundational safety improvement projects for laboratory environments
- Regular laboratory safety inspections and risk factor improvements
- Provided safety education for research personnel (online and in-person)
- Conducted special and general health checkups for research personnel twice a year
- Enrolled research personnel in safety insurance plans annually
- Managed 96 research facilities handling LMOs and operated the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) regularly
- Collected and disposed of laboratory waste (weekly and quarterly)
- Obtained "Excellent Laboratory Safety Management Certification" for 6 laboratories (top laboratories, Ministry of Science and ICT, 2024)
